Well, it looks like Shimmer gave us the wrong time for her chart. She wasn’t born at 10:26 pm, but at 6:26pm. So does that invalidate the chart reading that I and my team gave for her? No, not at all. Geoffrey Cornelius, in his great book, The Moment of Astrology, talks about this exact phenomenon with astrologers and how it’s more common than astrologers would admit. The moment of astrology isn’t just dictated by the chart, actually. The chart is a symbolic guide, not just a literal reference point for how the astrologer builds a conversation with a client. A horary chart can give as much insight into a client’s issues and problems in life as a natal chart. Sometimes it can give more. This is also true for what astrologer’s call a consultation chart, a chart that’s erected for the moment that the astrologer has the consult with the astrologer. Here’s the chart:
The first thing we would expect is a problem with Mercury. And there is. Mercury is combust as he’s too much in the sun or too close to sun. Interestingly enough, this “transiting” Mercury is conjoined to Shimmer’s Sun. So it does accurately signify her. She was a little too excited and possibly pre-occupied with other things. The moon also signifies her in the 5th house, the house of recreation and pleasure. When she called us, she was having a great time at Spa Castle. But considering that the Sun is in the 9th house, there is definitely an opportunity for learning and growth her. And this happened. I talked to Shimmer after the reading and after she learned that she had given us the wrong time. She still felt as if the reading had absolute relevance though all the house signatures were off by four hours. Interestingly enough, we didn’t talk too much about aspects that were house centered as much as planet centered. So she’s fine in that regard anyway. Things happen for a reason. I guess that’s what astrology is all about.
Here’s Shimmer’s “real” chart:
